The concept of danish breakfast comes from my grandmother on my mothers side. She was danish. I don't know if this is the way the danish actually eat breakfast or if it is only for special occations. But either way. Danish breakfast is when you go in the morning and get fresh rolls and then you eat them with delicious stuff on top. I was down town because I needed pads (arg! Damn being a woman sometimes) and I walked past this little bakery. It is a German bakery with a french name that my German professor had talked about in class yesterday, apperently we are getting pretzels from them on Octoberfest. I had some extra time so I went inside to check out the place. It looks like small bakeries back home. The bread looked pretty much the same too. And it smelled so good and I have not eaten breakfast (I am having my monthly 'Meh I want home food' phase) so I decided to buy a couple of rolls and have them for lunch (or brunch in my case). Then I saw that they had soft pretzels which I, believe it or not, can not remember ever having. So, one of those too.

If the rolls are good, I think this might become a weekly or biweekly thing for me. The place appeals much more to me than Hungry Ghost. It is not that I don't like Hungry Ghost, I do, I just like having bread that you don't need a saw to cut. Also this place appeals to my homesickness.

The dogs are eating each other, my parents are having a who-can-lie-the-most competation and my brother believes he is on a fishing trip in the living room. Gosh how I long for the school year to start.

First of all, a funny anecdote. I just glanced at mu friends page and instead of reading 'Burning Bridges' (the title of sailormur's most recent post), I read 'Burning Badgers', which put a picture of burning badgers into my head. Weee....

Secondly. My newest icon, found it in a community I am in and I think it is great. So did my boss and stole it from me before I had a chance to use it. Grrr! Hihi. Speaking of boss, she also got me hooked on Pandora. Pandora is a music player/radio where you enter artists and songs you like and they play songs like those. And then you can rate the songs they play and they take that into account when they choose new songs. I think it is really neat, and I have been discovering some nice music so far. Oh and I have an update on the steampunk costume. There have been a small change of plans. I am still planning on a leather underbust corset, but here is the new plan. Make it if heavy weight leather (either 7-8 oz or 8-10oz) and them wet mold it. That is going to be a fun project and the first time I do something that is similar to armor (which this will be). I have done all the different things before but not all in the same project. I have sewn heavy leather like this, and I have wet molded leather before but never something I made. I have also never made a leather corset before. And I am curious to how shipping back home to Norway will be, I don't think I feel like carrying in my bag, it is heavy (maybe I should just buy it at home... Mm need to check out prices). And I want to work on this at home since I have all the sewing and cutting equipment and my dad who have also done a lot of leather work.
