So for my assembly program I want to access an external variable. And I sent of an email asking my prof if I could do that the same way you access external functions. That was 47 hours ago... you think he has gotten back to me? He'll be off campus tomorrow and it is due on wednesday.... A little stressed now yes... So f-list, does anyone know if this is possible?

Yeah, this blog is moving. I have had this account with blogger for three years now, or close to. It has been a surprisingly big part of my life. Very teraputic to write down your thoughts and feelings and angry rants. Same goes for LJ, though I had that for a lot shorter period of time, only one and a half year, but I will be more or less leaving that too. Everything will move to the new wordpress blog, and we are in the moving phase now, but this will take full effect on the last day of classes, as that is the last day when I have the class I originally got the wordpress account for. I will still have my accounts with blogger and LJ, just that my updates will all be on the word press account. I am also starting up the DEE project again their (that might be in full effect before the main blog). IMPORTANT NOTE: Some, possibly a lot, of post will be password protected. I tend to lean towards being as open as possible but sometimes that is not possible. If you want access to the password, email me, comment here or comment on the wordpress account.
Registraion for fall classes went fine. I got into everything I wanted. I am exited about Astro. Been wanting to take that class for a long time. Then there are Assembly and Operating Systems which will both be fun, I hope, if a lot of work. I am also looking forward to taking german again. And I got the section with a teacher that have been recommended to me.
In the rpg world, things are going ok. I am a little bit out of it, because every game I have played this year feels like it have been very political, this might not have been the intention, but that is how it feels. And lately I have been wanting to do more swashbuckling. You know, fights, insults, treasure, fight monsters, so on and so forth. Something that is lighter and more fun and less heavy on the political plot. This I guess is reflected in my last two characters Adrian and Ramon, both essencially swashbucklers, though only Ramon is an actual pirate. So I am looking into how I can do that. There is also two games I want to play, both of which can fit this style. Shadowrun and 7th Sea. 7th Sea is a swashbuckling pirate game already, but I only have the player's guide and don't really feel like dishing out tons of money. Shadowrun has a very dark and gritty overtone, but the underlying consept is very much that of swashbuckling. But it is also futuristic, character gen is confusing and it seems to be hard to recruit players for it and get the ones I have to be enthusiastic about it. Is that my fault? Am I doing something wrong as a GM? Or is it simply that people don't like futuristic games? I don't know.
But I have a few links for people
7th Sea, link to the game, has loads of interesting resources
Victorian Slang Glossary, just exactly what it sounds like
Costuming:
The bones arrived today. So I thought I should give you all a break down of the cost of the projects so far
Black sorceress:
Pattern and shipping $30
Fabric and shipping $90
Bones and shipping $86
Total cost $210 (estimated: no more than $250)
Total time so far 3-4 hours (estimanted: a lot)
The Shaman:
Pattern $7
Hooks ~$10-12
Yarn $13
Bones $9
Total cost $40
Total time so far: maybe an hour

So when I woke up this morning and checked my email (I always do this in case people have been trying to get in contact with me) and in between my normal junk (amazon and so forth) was an email from Ianto Jones. At first I thought it was Aurelia joking with me again. Then I looked at the address... It was not a Smith email. At this point I was sure I was dreaming. Then I read the email itself. And suddenly everything clicked.
Last weekend, when I was in the process of getting hooked, one of the things I did was to sign up at the torchwood.org.uk site for this rather fun thing they have where you get little clues all through teh week and you try to solve a case. So that was the reason for the email. I still think it is pretty cool that my inbox looks like that.
In other news. my art crit is in an hour. I am a bit stressed out, I didn't get it to do what I wanted but I think it is pretty good none the less. The whole project is here.

I have been having quite a lot of fun with this. and got some ideas for other stuff to do
Yesterday I was at the Lunar Eclipse party we had, and Zoe said yes to training me for telescope maintenance. That is just so freeking cool. Just what I want to do. I am planning on telling Meg soon, see what she thinks. On Tuesday a bunch of us went to Haven, that was pretty cool and I had fun. It is nice to relax every now and again. And that is pretty much it for now..
Oh actually one more thing. I have an idea for a writing project I want to do. An in-character blog. i am not entirely sure if I am sticking it on LJ or blogger. I might even do wordpress but the account I have for now there is used for class stuff so... Anyway, what sort of character would people think is more fun.
