So now I am sitting in the rather cute and sleepy town on Llantwit Major. It is about 40 minutes train ride outside Cardiff, towards Bridgend if you are local enough, in the Vale of Glamorgan. It is an adorable little town, I would place it at about half the size of Noho. And I have counted 5 pubs so far. I am staying at The Oast House which is the housing part of the White Lion. When My brother and I walked in it was in the middle of the Sunday rugby match on the telly. We contemplated staying and watch, but I needed a shower (though I had been smart and had a change of clothes with me so I didn't feel as gross as normal when I travel) and my brother was hungry. We ate at a little Cafe called Elaine's Tearoom, which by the way have wonderful food, and decent coffee. I like how they actually tell you the truth over here. You buy regular coffee and it says filter coffee.
Then we walked out to St. Donats. It is an really pretty place. There is the campus part, which is the biggest part of it. Nice and fairly moderen. The dorms are devided into a girls floor and a boys floor. Different than we did in Flekke, they also have the teachers living more among the students than we did. We only had the house mentors down in the village and then we had teacher hill. AC (That is the name of the school) has a really large campus with a good bit of it being a farm. Flekke too had a large campus but we are a lot more centralized than AC. They also have an outdoor climbing wall on the science building and surfing and kayaking oppertunities. The Castle is old (the oldest in Wales I belive, and the most haunted) and the students eat meals there. Then there are a series of gardens on the way down to the beach. The top garden and the middle garden are both plain lawns, then there is the bees garden (St. Donats make their own honey) where the story is that if you manage to stand in such a away that none of the statues (there is a lot and I took a lot of pictures) see you, adn you stand there at midnight, you turn invisible. Then we walked down to the Rose garden, we skipped the blue garden. The rose garden was a little sad right now, but I can believe that it is glorious when it blooms. Then we made it down to the EMC barracks. The EMC program is a program run for students (of various ages I believe) with problems at school. And they are housed in the old barracks, down in the fort part of St. Donats. The Fort is right on the beach and we walked down there too. It was nice and clear and you could see over to England. I got the whole story to why the Welsh Dragon is not on the UK flag, and we walked around the grounds. But my brother had an english assignment due today so I got on an early bus back to Llantwit. It is a 40 minute walk and a 5 minute bus ride.
In Llantwit I had dinner at The Old Swan, the pub that was recommended to me by my brother. I tried the Double Dragon ale and it was really good. I think that I need to try the Brains Bitter when I am in Cardiff as it is a local bitter and is raved about in every guide I have read. The Double Dragon was nice, didn't really taste beer like, and worked very well with the food. Then I went back to the room and fell asleep and slept for 15 hours, with a breakfast break at 8 am. I had a full breakfast, which was nice, but a lot. I think tomorrow I'll just have scrambled eggs and toast. I was also reading Good Omens.
I was operating on 2 hours of sleep yesterday, taken in 20-30 minute naps at a time. I am impressed that I lasted until 7 pm, even though I almost fell asleep in my beer while I was waiting for the food.

As many of you know I am going to the UK to visit my brother for Spring break. The plane ticket is bought and everything there is ok.
What is left to do:
Confirm rooms at St Donat's castle with brother
Book rooms at Riverside Backpackers
Book rooms at Palmer's Lodge
Book train London-Cardiff
Book train Cardiff- Llantwit Major
Current budget
I am not sure how much food and the like will be yet. People's who have more experience than I do, how much should I expect?
And secondly, ideas for touristy stuff I should do, places I should see, etc?
